What to Expect

So how do the sessions work?

The initial session will last approximately 1.5 hours and includes

  • Initial consultation to find out more about your dog / areas of concern / activities of daily living etc.

  • Posture and gait analysis

  • Palpation

  • Full body massage (40 – 50 minutes)

  • Feedback and aftercare advice

Subsequent sessions will last around 1 hour and are normally scheduled 7 – 10 days apart. These sessions provide an opportunity to discuss any changes you have seen and for me to reassess your dog ensuring that the massage session is tailored to your dog’s needs.

I work to Best Practice, meaning that I will

  • Always require Veterinary Consent prior to treatment

  • Only see your dog initially for a maximum of 3 session, as you should see results in that time

  • Always refer back to your vet if I find an issue which is not suitable for massage therapy

After a maximum of 3 sessions I will provide a written report to your vets outlining my findings.

Following the initial 1 – 3 sessions it will be possible to book maintenance massage sessions should your dog require them.

Each session is currently charged at £40.00 which is payable on the day by cash, cheque or BACS.

I will require prior veterinary consent before treating your dog. You can download a form

*** Cancellation policy ***
Please note that the full £40.00 charge will be due if you fail to attend your appointment or fail to provide 24 hours’ notice to cancel or re-arrange your appointment
